Forgebanks Beagles

We first became involved with Beagles by accident, acquiring a young dog from an elderly lady who could no longer keep him. His name was Trewint Pick Pocket Maymonth aka Fred, but he lived up to his name of "Pick Pocket" as he stole everything in sight! He enlightened us on just how naughty a Beagle can be. With perseverance and lots of obedience training we all managed to get along just fine. Sadly, he died of cancer aged 9. Needless to say we were bitten by the Beagle Bug!

We acquired two new Beagle puppies in 1986 from two well known kennels, the first a tri-colour girl Trewint Witchcraft from Oonagh Gore and the Duxfordham Beagles. The second, a tri-colour boy Dialynne Wizard from the famous Dialynne kennel.

These were to be our foundation show/breed stock and we founded our affix "Forgebanks". Our current Beagles all descend from Witchcraft (Dee).

We have since enjoyed success in the show ring/agility!
